Given that the Hub could not host a physical celebration for World Refugee Day, the team put together a virtual conference under the theme, “Redefining the Role of Refugees in the Host Communities.” The conference brought together several key note speakers who have dealt closely with refugees in their various capacities over time. The speakers provided insights on how the refugees and their host countries can over time work together to elevate the standards of living for refugees and also make significant contributions to each other’s livelihoods.
